ANGEL’S AMONG US 2024

ADA Women’s Center has been providing licensed residential substance use disorder treatment for women living in coastal Texas since 1986 with over 4,000 women helped since we opened. Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive and compassionate environment to empower the women served on their journey of recovery from the disease of addiction.  This year we are pleased to be honoring Dr. N. Miles Farr as our ADA Angel, recognizing his commitment to our community.  

Dr. N. Miles Farr is a native of Louisiana and graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Finance with a minor in Internal Auditing. He worked in business prior to completing his M.D./M.P.H. Dual Degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) followed by his residency at Harvard Medicine in the Pediatrics program at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Farr is Assistant Professor and a practitioner in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at UTMB and conducts research in health care delivery models in community settings and practice medical education. Dr. Farr is the Medical Director of the St. Vincent’s and the Grace Clinics in Internal Medicine and Substance Use Disorders. As Assistant Provost of Community Engagement and Education at UTMB, he coordinates all community engagement efforts for educational programs across medical professionals.

Women whose lives have become unmanageable through the use of drugs and/or alcohol can find healing and recovery and learn tools of clean and sober living. ADA Women’s Center provides licensed substance abuse treatment for medically indigent women in Galveston County and Brazoria County along the Texas Gulf Coast.
